    Bo Bice
    "3"

Bo Bice was the runner up to Carrie Underwood, who won the fourth season of American Idol, 2005. season 4 was quite good, with the most remembered contestans, Bice, Underwood, and Constantine Maroulis. Bo Bice debuts this week on the WSVNRadio website, with his third album, 3, released in 2010.

What genre does 3 contain? The lead off song "Keep On Rollin'" could easily fit the Country format. And, it's quite good, fitting the Country (or Rock) music that was in 2010. "Different Shades Of Blue" is of a Rock song, and it could be a ballad. Bon Jovi comes to mind on this one. And again, it's another good tune, just as the lead off track, "Keep On Rollin'." "Coming Back Home" is definitely Rock, as in Bon Jovi. "Good Hearted Woman" is definitely Country, and is much better than "Today's Country." (And no, it is not a remake of the Waylon/Willie hit.) "Lonely, Broke And Wasted" is a good ballad, and defines Bo Bice having his own style, as heard throughout this album. "Who KNows What" is Rock, and has a Little Feat vibe to it. "Long Road Back" is Rock, as in Bon Jovi. "Wild Roses" is Country, GOOD COUNTRY. "Get On And Ride" is (hard) Rock, and it has a Psychedelic vibe to it. "You Take Yourself And Go" (a hit single from the album) is another ballad-type song, and it's (another) quite good tune.

Bo Bice maybe compared to artists such as Bon Jovi (mostly) and Little Feat, however he does develop a style of his own on 3. 3 is a Rock album, it's a Country album. It could even be a Southern Rock album. It's a damn good album. Bo Bice has always been talented, especially from American Idol. His music has always been GOOD. And, it's great to hear the winners and runner-ups from American Idol get their first albums out before the year's end (or shortly afterwards). This isn't the case anymore, and some winners/runner-ups wait YEARS for their first official album release. The Voice winners are in the same boat, taking years to see any official studio album(s) to be released.

Simon Cowell said to Carrie Underwood, when she won Season 4 of American Idol: "You're going to be a star." This could have happened with Bo Bice. His music has always been good. Listen to his 3 album. You will definitely agree he has talent. Although he may not have become a superstar as Carrie, but he did begin making new music after being the runner up - His first album The Real Thing (2005), See The Light (2007), 3 (2010). He was the lead singer of the famous group Blood, Sweat & Tears, from 2013 to 2018. He has donated to many charities.

3 by Bo Bice, is a very good album. Take a listen, all Rock/Country fans. You won't be disappointed.
